Shauna Haase, LMP, NCTM, LAMP
Equine Background
Shauna Haase LMP, NCTM, LAMP began her hunter lessons when she was four years of age at Brookwood Equestrian Center. She also attended a Christian riding camp several times each year where she rode western, gaming, some hunter, and significant amounts of trail riding. She joined 4-H at the age of ten when she was given a completely wild half-Arabian that she named Orben for her birthday. At the time she joined, the green horse program had become extinct, so her mother took up the responsibility of heading a new program so Shauna could get all the help and experience she possibly could while training Orben. Shauna’s mother reintroduced green horse classes and arranged clinics with trainers such as Darick Anderson and Richard Shrake. In 4-H, Shauna rode hunt seat, western, trail, performed fitting and showing, groom squad, and gave public presentations.
At the end of her 4-H career she started riding saddle seat which led to Zone and Washington State Horsemen (WSH). She then became a member of WSH and a lifetime member of the Pinto Horse Association of America (PtHA) and showed on the pinto circuit for Wren Ranch Arabian Pintos and in Zone for Sunset View Stables (Saddlebreds.) She then went on to work as a show groom for National barns such as Meadow Wood Farms (Arabians) before returning to her hometown and becoming a riding instructor with my her clientele. Some of her proudest accomplishments include Canadian National Champion Halter Gelding and several top-fives in both halter and under saddle with her own pinto CHR Diamond Jim, as well as training students to be top contenders in their field with only one year of lessons.
Shauna has also attended Lynn Benton Community College for Farrier science and is a certified Farrier. She still continues to learn and grow by occasionally taking lessons at the top stables in their individual fields and different riding styles in which she has had less exposure to, when the opportunity arises. Such as taking lessons at Legacy Jumpers during her stay in Redmond for her large animal practical. She is dedicated to growth and loves to learn.
Shauna is a graduate of the Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy and Massage. She passed the National exam with all high scores, making her both Nationally Certified and Licensed with the state of Washington. She is a graduate of the North West School of Animal Massage and continues her studies of Equine anatomy and massage at every opportunity.
Shauna owns SHEM (Shauna Haase Equine Massage) and takes both human and large animal clientele. She is also an assistant instructor to the internationally known Robert Haase LMP who teaches continuing education courses such as “Secrets of Deep Tissue” all across the country. Shauna has taught in Washington, California, New York, Florida, Maui, and will continue adding to the list as she continues to travel.
