A note from the school founder...

Bodymechanics School

I'm so excited about your interest in the field of massage therapy! Being a massage therapist changed my life. I know it will be an adventure for you as well.

The Bodymechanics School curriculum was designed to combine advanced educational content and technique to create exceptional massage practitioners. Bodymechanics was born of a dream and built on integrity. The proof is in our graduate's success.

Our comprehensive curriculum and student clinics provide real-life experience to acquaint you with potential career options.

Whether your interest lies in medical massage, deep tissue, structural bodywork, sports or relaxation massage, our curriculum's unique balance of theory and technique is designed to prepare you for your career in massage.

The school atmosphere is warm, caring, and professional.

I have traveled the United States extensively and visited schools across the country working with hundreds of massage therapists with varying degrees of training. One thing that has stood out to me more than anything else is that there is a “complete disconnect” between the length of a massage program and the training of exceptional massage therapists. I've seen schools that have two-year programs with over 1,400 hours of education produce therapists who cannot give a good deep tissue massage or get their clients out of pain. The keys to becoming an exceptional massage therapist are the teaching and practicing of proven massage techniques that result in timely positive outcomes for their clients’ specific and overall health issues and goals.

Our exciting new massage program is now 600-hours over just 6 ½ months! We have reconfigured and concentrated the curriculum format to help students get started in their new massage careers in half the time and for less money while ensuring the quality of the curriculum meets the school’s mission.

I look forward to having you as a part of our exceptional program and hope to meet you in person soon.

Who We Are...

Our mission is to create exceptional massage practitioners with a solid foundation in advanced bodywork techniques. Our graduates are in high demand. We train them in what matters most. Our concentrated program is created around our mission statement. As a graduate of The Bodymechanics School, you will have the skills and experience to become a respected member of the healthcare profession, changing lives for the better along the way.

You will possess advanced massage skills—knowledge of injury treatment techniques—and most importantly the ability to positively affect your client's lives.
You will maximize your educational foundation and ensure your excellence as a Licensed Massage Practitioner (LMP). The Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy & Massage focuses on providing established massage theory—advanced treatment techniques—and a broad understanding of the human body.

Your training at Bodymechanics is comprehensive. The Bodymechanics approach cannot be confined by terms like “traditional” or “alternative.” Instead our program is a bridge between the chemical/surgery- dependent medical philosophies prevalent in our society, and the holistic beliefs encompassing the bodywork field. While your education will be specialized towards deep tissue and injury treatment you will also be exposed to a diverse blend of bodywork styles. As a graduate of the Bodymechanics School you will be trained to provide a wide variety of therapeutic bodywork modalities from relaxation and spa-based massage to structural and injury treatment.

Have fun while learning! At The Bodymechanics School the learning environment is both fun and stimulating. Our curriculum is designed for your success as a student, even if you're returning to an academic setting after a long break.

Our teaching staff is composed of experienced professionals in their respective healthcare fields—many of them with successful practices of their own.

Curriculum

Our licensing course is an intensive and comprehensive educational program. Mark Twain once said, “I have never let my schooling 1interfere with my education.” Simply put: schools can get in the way of the learning process. At The Bodymechanics School each subject is taught with consideration to all types of learning styles. Whether you are an auditory, visual or kinesthetic learner, we'll make each subject understandable, effective and fun.

We at Bodymechanics believe that a strong understanding of the human body is essential to being a successful massage therapist. You will find our course content balanced and relevant to your new career.

Our program offers a great combination of academic and hands-on training.
